My New Book is Here

If you know me then you know that writing is my thing. On good days, on bad days, on days when I’m about to lose it, and on days when I feel on top of the world, I write. In some way I feel like I’m making up for lost time because it’s been years since I’ve self published a new project. I can tell you that putting my thoughts out there for the world to see requires a certain level of vulnerability but my hope is that someone would be encouraged in some way…

I wrote my newest book during the pandemic and it is entitled Sincerely: Poetry Inspired by Faith, Truth, and the Pursuit of Joy. When I was trying to come up with a name for the book Sincerely felt so appropriate because the words that fill this book were inspired by real moments and real feelings and real experiences that have shaped who I am today. Being a creative during such a strange time was interesting. Honestly, it was hard to create when it felt like the world was coming to end. Sitting on the back porch of my parents house with my laptop (and sometimes notebook) became my escape and so much of the book was written again in real moments when it was just me sitting with my feelings and thoughts and reflections and hurt and disappointments, etc. Each page is filled with words that reveal discoveries of faith, personal truths, and my journey of finding joy in the midst life happening all around me.

This collection of work was written for the woman who loves God and who has the desire to live and love and grow in a way that honors the woman she wants to become. My hope is that each time you reach for this book you will be reminded that faith lives in you, truth will set you free, and joy is in your reach.
